Adopt-A-Stream Clean-up Day

Join the Environmental Stewardship Work Area for a fall Adopt-a-Stream clean-up at the Downers Grove Park District’s Patriots Park around Barth Pond on Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Help us keep this natural site beautiful! Children and youth aged 7 to 18 are welcome to participate with a parent or other adult chaperone.

Patriots Park is located at 501 55^th Street, Downers Grove, just a mile from the church. Participants will pick up trash at this popular public park and adjacent stream and wetland areas. Gloves, trash grabbers, and trash bags will be provided for the activity. The Conservation Foundation, a Naperville-based nonprofit, sponsors the Adopt-a-Stream program, providing all the free supplies we need.
