 At Downers Grove First United Methodist Church\, confirmation is a two-yea
 r process for 7th and 8th graders (though we are happy to work with older 
 youth\, if they were unable to participate in those grades) in which we ex
 plore scripture and faith. Our goal is to help confirmation students name 
 and claim a sense of values and beliefs for themselves and grow in underst
 anding of God and the church.\nPastor Megan invites first-year students\, 
 parents\, and caregivers to come to one of the Confirmation Class Informat
 ion Meetings to learn about expectations and plans for the year\, includin
 g an overview of the curriculum\, schedules\, and expectations.\nIf you ar
