Youth Ministry and Confirmation

Our youth ministry supports 6th – 12th graders as they grow in mind, body, and spirit. We are committed to being an inclusive and welcoming place for all. We provide a variety of ways for youth to stay connected so that they can grow in their love for God, live their faith in service, and build sacred community with other youth and adults.

Our youth ministry offerings includes Confirmation for 7th and 8th grade students; Connection Choir for junior high students; Chapel Choir for 8th grade and senior high students; and mission and fellowship opportunities for all youth throughout the year.

Youth Mission Trip for Summer 2024

Monday – Friday, June 10 to 14

This summer, our Youth Mission Trip members will return to Wooster, Ohio from Monday through Friday, June 10 – 14. Each day, the group will cook and serve breakfast to those experiencing food insecurity and then complete a variety of other service projects. This is a great opportunity to serve others, make friendships, and grow in faith.

Youth must be 13 years of age to participate. We are now accepting applications (see link below.). The registration deadline is Sunday, May 5. The cost of the trip is $250. If the cost makes the trip inaccessible, scholarships are available by contacting Carolyn Donnelly or Pastor Andi

We are also looking for adult volunteers who are willing to drive. Contact Pastor Andi with any questions!

Confirmation Program

Our confirmation program, available for 7th and 8th grade youth, begins in September and concludes in May. Eighth-grade students attend a special worship service in May each year to celebrate their confirmation.

Confirmation class is for students to learn more about Christian beliefs, traditions, thinking, and personal faith as well as the United Methodist Church. The program also includes worship services, community service, retreats, and more to prepare participants to become full members of the church.

For questions or information, contact Pastor Andi.

Youth Fellowship & Service

We offer fellowship and local service opportunities for youth. Join us for fun events, service opportunities, faith formation, mission trips, and more. In the summer, a service trip is planned to help others in need. Participants live out Christ’s love for the world by serving others in addition to enjoying time with friends. Check out the calendar for more information about all the youth activities.

Bibles and Bagels on Sundays

Youth in 7th – 12th grade are invited to join Pastor Andi for Bibles and Bagels once a month during the 10:00 a.m. worship service from September to May. Everyone starts in worship together and then moves to the Youth Room for Bible Study, activities, and a snack for the remainder of their time together. Watch our eNewsletter, Happenings, for the date each month.

Summer Camp

Those who have completed grades 2 – 8 are welcome to attend our annual week-long camp held in June at Wesley Woods in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. High school students and adults are invited to participate as counselors.

This is a beautiful wooded camp with a beachfront on Geneva Lake. A day of camp is filled with many activities: games, art, Bible study, music, yoga, group building, archery, swimming, boating, and many other fun activities. Watch for more information in March each year to register. Camp lasts only a week, but what campers take home lasts a lifetime!

Those who are entering their first year of high school are invited to serve as counselors-in-training. Youth in grades 10 12 in the fall are invited to serve as camp counselors. Contact Pastor Andi or Pastor John for more information.
