DGFUMC Worship Survey

The Worship Work Area requests your assistance in helping us understand what elements of worship provide you with a meaningful and rich experience. We are asking members to complete the survey below with your preferences and either mail it back to the church office, drop it off in the collection plate, or place it in the designated box in the hallway outside the sanctuary by June 25. Each member is encouraged to complete their own form. Additional comments are welcomed.

Your responses will help us craft questions for the three World Cafés planned for July 16, August 20, and October 15 following abbreviated worship services. The World Café is a method for gathering information through conversation and collaborative dialogue that will help us design worship services that inspire and uplift.

DGFUMC Recognition Scholarship

Each year DGFUMC recognizes college students who have been important leaders in the life of our church and who have completed at least one year of college with scholarships.

Students interested in applying for the scholarship may fill out an application (available below and in the church office) and return it to the office by June 25. Recipients will be announced in July and honored at the 10:00 a.m. worship service on August 6.

Together @ 10 Worship Service - 10:00 a.m.

Join us this Sunday, May 28 for a special service where the 9:30 and 11:00 services will be combined into ONE service at 10:00 a.m. This is a great time to make new friends, re-connect with old friends and bring guests to visit our church. Stay for lunch to hear the experience of Paul Webster, who is a missionary at the Mujila Falls Agricultural Center, which works to improve nutrion and alleviate poverty in Zambia.

Please note the 8:15 a.m. service will still be held in the Chapel.

Children's Cantata - A Not So Terrible Parable

Join us on Sunday, April 30 at our 9:30 & 11:00 worship services as the Cherub, Chorister and Connection Children’s Choirs present their cantata of A Not So Terrible Parable – The Mysterious Whodunit about the Good Samaritan. Come and enjoy as the children bring to life the well-known story of The Good Samaritan as a fun, over-the-top whodunit. Clues lead the kids to discover again just how far our Savior would go to rescue helpless sinners.
