Recycling Event: #6 Foam Products January 13

The "Green Team" will host a recycling event for foam #6 products on Sunday, January 13. Bring your recycling to the Parlor before or after church services on this date in clear plastic bags and our wonderful Green Team members will take it to the recycling facility for you! It couldn't be easier.

Please place #6 foam cups, plates, take-out containers, and egg  cartons in a clear plastic bag. Be sure to rinse all items. Do not include straws or lids, foam insulation, or packaging peanuts.

In a separate bag you may include molded foam that is used to package electronics. It's important it be in a separate bag because it is dropped off at a different location.

Thank you for helping us to keep #6 foam products out of our landfills.

PADS Giving Tree

The PADS Giving Tree is now up in the Parlor. Gifts for PADS families will be collected throughout December. Pick a tag from the tree, buy the gift, and return the unwrapped gift back under the tree to help make a PADS client warm and cozy this holiday season.

Gifts will be collected throughout December.

Alternative Gift Fair

For the next three Sundays in December, the Alternative Gift Fair will be held in the Parlor between the services. Many of you are familiar with the beautiful crafts handmade by the women of the UPAVIM (United for a Better Life) cooperative in Guatemala. Not only do they make ideal Christmas gifts for friends and family, you will also be supporting the women of La Esperanza in Guatemala City as they work to improve the quality of life for themselves and for their families through education, employment opportunities, daycare services for their children, health care services, and programs for personal and professional development. Choose from a large selection of colorful bags, scarves, Christmas ornaments, kitchen accessories, jewelry, and this year a new range of handcarved wooden spoons and bowls.

You can also contribute to the Heifer Project by purchasing living gifts that support programs to end hunger in the world.
